"Her Majesty, the Queen"
The aim of this seminar is to give an overview of the portraits of the three great queens who dominated and gave identity to the exceptionally long periods of their reigns - Elizabeth I, Victoria and Elizabeth II. It will discuss the political, social and cultural implications behind the royal image, and both ideological and technical changes in portraiture made within an age and also from age to age.
