Part-time teachers of English, Naples

British Council Naples is recruiting Part-time Teachers of English. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic teachers who have the ability to teach everything from 5 year old beginners to adult Proficiency exam students.  We are offering 5-6 374 hour monte ore contracts (some contracts may have more hours) – initially from September 2016 until June 2017 renewable by mutual agreement.  

Most monte ore teachers work for 374 hours per annum. Which is approximately 6 hours teaching, 1 hours standby/ administration/development and 2 hours preparation per week. In addition to teaching, all teachers will be involved in the professional development programme of the centre and attend staff and teacher meetings. You will also be required to carry out routine administration and customer care as required by the teaching centre, particularly the testing, counselling and registration of new students. More experienced teachers are encouraged to mentor those with less experience, work on teacher training projects and develop course materials.

The successful candidate will have a degree as well as 2 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience. You will have experience in teaching relevant age groups. 

Young learners aged 10 to 17 (400+ hours) 
Adults General English 18+ (1600+ hours) 
IELTS preparation (200+ hours)
