Innovatory techniques in the novel: Emma
Jane Austen is most known for her subtle psychological analysis and caustic humour focusing on the manners and mores of “3 or 4 families in a Country village”. This lecture seeks to show the quiet, apparently understated nature of Jane Austen’s other revolution as she polished new narrative techniques in what is often considered her most accomplished and superbly ironic work.
