Aptis ESOL is a four-skills, computer-based English test, developed by the British Council, delivered in supervised face-to-face test sessions and regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

The test assesses the ability to communicate in English in real-life situations. It includes a basic component (grammar and vocabulary) along with reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
