Working hours | Cambridge Assessment English Speaking Examiners typically work between 2 and 6 hours at any given Cambridge Assessment English test session. Speaking tests can take place from Mondays to Sundays. |

How to apply
Applicants should be based in the Lombardy, ideally in Metropolitan City of Milan, Monza, Como or Varese and must be able to demonstrate:
- education to first degree level or equivalent*
- a recognised language teaching qualification*
- proof of substantial, relevant, recent teaching experience ideally equivalent to at least 1800 hours
*An applicant may be exempt either from the formal teaching qualification or from the first degree/equivalent requirement (but not both) if they can provide evidence of considerable relevant teaching experience (i.e. ideally 3,000 hours or more) supported by positive references.

All applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Italy. If you are not an EU citizen we also require a copy of your work permit.
Please do not apply for Speaking test examining work unless you are reasonably available to undertake assignments during the week, in the evenings and on some Saturdays and Sundays.
Suitable candidates will be invited by 6th December to attend an interview which will take place between 13th and 20th December and if selected will be asked to attend training, which will last a full day for Key and Preliminary and a further day for YLE exams (7th and 12th January). They will also be asked to provide references and police check. In February, they will need to attend a shorter annual training session and then complete some tasks on-line. They will then be able to give availability for examining.
