Demand High’ ELT

This seminar will look at the way Demand High ELT, initiated by Jim Scrivener and Adrian Underhill, questions how much deep learning is going on in apparently well-functioning happy classes.  Demand High poses questions such as: Are my students capable of more?  Would demanding more lead to more learning? Has the ELT class become too ritualized? Might more take place if the teacher focused on the potential for a deeper kind of learning?
