How many times have you had difficulty in understanding someone speaking your language who is not mother-tongue? What went wrong? The pronunciation or the grammar? This workshop argues the case for privileging pronunciation over grammar in order to achieve effective communication as well as maintain student interest. During the session, we will be looking at ways and means of practising and improving pronunciation, tempering the focus on grammar and striving towards successful communication.
