On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death, Fondazione Teatro Piemonte Europa presents six plays which are the outcome of a particularly interesting and original project called After Shakespeare.
The project involves six authors: Nicola Fano, also curator of the project, Alberto Gozzi, Donatella Musso, Sergio Pierattini, Lidia Ravera and Lia Tomatis, called to write six plays describing what might have happened to the heroes of Shakespeare, after the curtain fell on their events.
Lady M is a survivor; a woman who is in control, in a world usually managed by men. Like Lady Macbeth, she craves for power and, once conquered, keep it until the end. We are in the context of an Arab community that feeds terrorism and ideals and religious conflicts. Lady M. needs a woman who blows herself up for the umpteenth attack, but the women betray her. For her, there is no other way than the self-destruction.
