ielts trf test report form

The majority of the Cambridge Assessment English examinations results will be released

  • two weeks after the date of the written exam for Computer-Based (CB) exams
  • four - six weeks after the date of the written exam for Paper-Based (PB) exams

Any remaining results will be released during the following two weeks.

Candidates now have direct access to their results via the Cambridge Assessment English Online Results Service. Each candidate's personal timetable will include login details and candidates will also receive an e-mail notifying them that the results release period has begun. Please note that candidates must retain their timetables until they have received their results.

All Preparation Centres that register candidates for Cambridge Assessment English examinations will be able to access their students' results and Statement of Results directly on the Cambridge Assessment site for Preparation Centres

Following registration, you will receive an e-mail with login details. Please note that candidates who have registered through a centre can sign up to the Cambridge Assessment English Online Results Service.

  • If you have passed your exam, your certificate will be sent to your examinations centre approximately two months after your results are released.
  • If you registered through your school or a Preparation Centre, your certificate will be sent to your school or collected by its representative.
  • If you registered as an individual candidate, your certificate will be delivered to the examinations  centre of your choice which will inform you about available collection/despatch methods.

Young Leaners (YLE)

You will receive an award from Cambridge Assessment English Language Assessment, showing your performance in each part of the test – Listening, Reading and Writing and Speaking.

For each part of the test you get one or more Cambridge shields (up to a maximum of five) so you could get a total of 15 shields for the whole test!

Young Learners results are issued approximately eight weeks after the date of your examination. Everyone who completes their test receives an award, which focuses on what they could do (not what they couldn’t do). It gives them credit for having taken part in the test.

Extended certification

From March 2011 Cambridge Assessment English has introduced Extended Certification, which is aimed at giving many candidates additional credit for the language skills they have demonstrated in a Cambridge Assessment English examination. It also aims to help universities, employers and other organisations get a clearer picture of how candidates' results relate to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

Results enquiries

If you feel that your exam was unfairly marked, Cambridge Assessment English has a vigorous and thorough Result Enquiry Procedure to ensure all components are checked and, if requested, re-marked. If you want to query your result, this must be submitted through the British Council on your behalf. Please contact us to find out more.

Name errors on certificates

If your name or other personal information are spelt incorrectly (spelling mistake or word order) on the certificate, please contact us

A new certificate can be issued but any change has a cost of euro 50 if your request is made after the exam date.

No requests will be accepted if more than two years have passed since the certificates’ issue date.

Results verification services

The Results Verification Service helps organisations, individuals and agencies to validate candidates' Cambridge Assessment English examination results gathered from 2005 inclusively.

The service is free of charge and available online.

Anyone can use it once they have been given permission to verify a result by the certificate holder.
